On December 26, 2008, my friends from Muntinlupa invited me to join them in visiting Baguio City. They asked me to celebrate my 23rd birthday in Baguio City. Since they’re my close friends, I agreed to spend my 23rd birthday with them in Baguio City.

We visited the following famous places in Baguio City:

1. Tam-awan Village

2. Camp John Hay

3. Burnham Park

4. Mines View Park

I enjoyed my 23rd birthday with my friends. Here’s our group picture taken from Camp John Hay:

Java 5.0 – Legal Identifiers

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

Here are the rules you need to know for legal identifiers:

1. Identifiers must start with a letter, $ (dollar sign), or _ (underscore).

2. After the first character, identifiers can contain any combination of letters, $, _, or numbers.

3. There’s no limit to the number of character an identifier can contain.

4. Java keywords can’t be used as an identifier

5. Identifiers in Java are case-sensitive; ben and Ben are two different identifiers.

Example of legal identifiers:

int _x;

int $y;

int ____3_5_x;

int _$;

int this_is_a_very_long_identifier;

Examples of illegal identifiers:

int :c;

int 6k;

int .m;

int s#;

int -e;

Facebook Farm Town

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

I’m one of the users of Facebook. Many of my friends invited me to play farm town.

I tried to use it and I’m now on Level 23. I have a small farm in facebook and I plant corn, rice, and cottons.

Farm town is a very nice application that connects people from different places around the world. In Farm Town, you can hire other people from different country to harvest or plow your farm. My friend here in the Philippines has now many friends in the United States of America and other countries.

Please feel free to add me on facebook. Here’s my email in facebook: bendeleonjr@gmail.com

Week #43 Year 2009 Ben Millionaire Experience

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

Starting this week, I’ll be posting my weekly blogs about my life experiences.

I’ve been very busy in the past few days. From Monday to Friday, I slept for only 6 hours a day. I have so many tasks in the office. I’m a Java, Oracle PL/SQL, and UNIX developer. I worked for at least nine hours a day from 10AM to 8.30PM with 1.5 hours break.

In the past days, I was doing Internationalization of hard-coded strings in Java. It’s a bit difficult but challenging. So far, I enjoy my work for I really love Java programming. Everyday, I learn new things in the office. That’s what motivates me to go to office everyday.

Now, it’s weekend. It’s time to take rest to prepare for another 5 days work next week. I spend my free time with my friends. I also spend my time in blogging like what I’m doing right now. :)
