Many employees feel bad when they received the salary letter from their employer. They were expecting big salary increase but it did not happen. Some employees were expecting small increase but that small expectation was not met. Is this me? 
Small or big increase, we need to be grateful. Let’s always think positive. Let’s think that it’s not yet the end of the world. We still have many chances to do something that will make us happy. What will you do to the big amount if you’re not happy. What will you do to your money if you’re always sick? You won’t enjoy life, right?
Be grateful for you’re still alive. Be grateful for you have the ability to control your mind and body. Do the things that will make you happy and will not make other people unhappy. If you want to be happy, make other people happy. You will feel the true meaning of happiness if you do this.

Let us recognize everyone who did very good things. Most of the time, recognition is being given to the children. Do you know that even adults need recognition?
If you’re an employee, I’m sure that you will feel good if someone recognized you for the good things you’ve done. One of the secrets of the successful employers is that they always recognize the contributions of their employees. Contributions refer to something that added value to the company. Giving rewards is one way of recognizing people. Saying to someone that what he/she had done is good is another way of recognizing people.

I am enjoying this day because it’s non-working holiday in the Philippines. It’s time to relax and enjoy life. I’m doing what I love to do which is to watch Naruto.
Whenever I have free time like this, I go to our province in Pangasinan. Since I just went there last week, I’ll spend this day watching Naruto. In order to have work and life balance, I will read Java book for one hour first before I will watch Naruto.

The hostage taker in the Philippines last August 23, 2010 had negative mental attitude. That’s the effect of being pessimistic. If he’s always thinking positive, he’s still alive until now and living a happy life.
Not all Filipinos are like the hostage taker. Anyone with negative mental attitude can be a hostage taker. Watch your feelings and how you think. If you’re not feeling good and you notice that you have a negative mental attitude, you should act immediately to replace your negative thinking with a positive thinking. Replace your bad feeling with good feeling by thinking of good things and happy moments.
