Searching Pacific Place at Pearl Drive

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

On February 21, 2010 7PM, I helped my sister to find the Pacific Place building in Ortigas Center. She’s looking for that building because she has interview in that place on February 22, 2010 Monday. From Edsa Shangri-La Shaw Blvd, we walked straight until we reached One San Miguel Avenue. We turned left to enter One San Miguel  Avenue. We walked in One San Miguel Ave. and turned right (Lourdes Ave.). We saw a very nice hotel and its name is Richmonde Hotel. We walked in Lourdes Avenue and turned left (Pearl Drive). We walked in Pearl Drive until we saw the Pacific Place building in Ortigas Center, Pasig City, Philippines.

I helped my sister on how to find that place so that she can find it tomorrow (Monday) when she will attend her interview with QCHuman Resources.

Helping my sister

Friday, February 12th, 2010

I’m now here in our house, teaching my sister on how to use Microsoft Office. I’m happy that I can help my sister. I make her happy by teaching her the new technology.

I wish she could be employed soon. :)

Finalizing Thesis

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

I’m now here at the house of my friend. I’m helping my friend and his teammate to finalize their thesis. They’re BS Computer Science students from New Era University. From the start of their thesis, I served as their adviser. I hope that I contributed for the success of their thesis.

I remembered when they asked my help. I really appreciate students who seek advice in a respectful manner. Since I want people to be happy, I didn’t refuse to help them. I taught them basics of Structured Query Language in MySQL and other stuffs about Java programming. Although I’m not that good in Java programming, I tried to share what I know. I am teaching them for free for I want to help them. I was once a student and I know the feeling of having a good mentor.

I remembered my college days when my special adviser Rolando J. Andico asked me to learn Linux, MySQL, Oracle, and PHP. I’m very grateful for I met people who have helped me to develop my skills in the field of Information Technology. This time, I’m just sharing what I learned from my mentors.
