On the first week of September 2010, I subscribed to Smartbro share-it. I was disappointed because I can’t connect to VPN. My purpose why I bought it is to work from home. Since I can’t use it, I called their customer support many times. I also sent an email to follow up my inquiry. I also visited Smart Wireless Center many times. And whenever I visit Smart Wireless Center, I need to wait for about half an hour before my turn. After one month, they finally approved my request to terminate my account. Despite of this, I still want to thank SmartBro for the support because they understood my concern and they approved my request to terminate the 24-month lock-in period.
Morning of October 05, 2010, I returned my Share-It device to Smart Wireless Center. At night, Wi-tribe agents arrived in my boarding house in Metro Manila. I tested the Wi-tribe connection. I was able to connect to VPN. Wi-tribe has fast internet connection. In my location, Wi-tribe is faster than smartbro share-it.
My advice is when you’re using VPN client (I’m using Nortel VPN) to work from home, I recommend Wi-tribe. As of this writing, share-it doesn’t support VPN connection.
